Application of coherent-optical methods for early diagnosis of chlamydia

Abstract

The article considers the possibility of using a scanning speckle microscope for fast 2D scanning of clinical samples containing chlamydia. Modern methods of laboratory diagnosis of chlamydia do not confirm the presence of a viable pathogen in the early stages of infection. The use of coherent-optical methods allows one to automatically detect even single C. trachomatis cells in virtually any sample.
